If 600 years of history has taught us one thing, it’s the importance of looking to the future.
Here at the Rochester Bridge Trust we understand the importance of supporting and encouraging the next generation of bridge builders, which we do through our education initiative, and we’ve brought some of that fun to the Bridge Works exhibition:
Langdon’s Den – Although the area is currently closed, our education mascot Langdon the Lion has created Langdon’s Den, which is kitted out with a range of fixed activities to appeal to children.
Inside the exhibition – History is no longer the stuffy subject it was when many adults were at school. We’ve incorporated displays and human (and animal) models into our exhibition so children can be as engaged as their older companions.
Exploring engineering – Once you’ve finished exploring our Bridge Works exhibition, we hope you’re inspired to find out more about bridges. Our engineering education website could be a great place to start.
