The Rochester Bridge Trust is pleased to present the newly restored Short Scion Floatplane G-AEZF inside Rochester Cathedral.
For the whole of August 2025 this fascinating part of Medway’s history is being celebrated alongside a selection of related educational activities – free of charge.
The exhibition will be open seven days a week: Monday to Saturday from 10am until 4pm, and Sundays from 12pm until 4pm. Please check the Rochester Cathedral website in advance, in case of a closure.
Painstakingly rebuilt by Medway Aircraft Preservation Society Limited (MAPSL) thanks to a grant from the Trust, the floatplane was made in the Short Factory that was located on Rochester Esplanade.
