The Bridge Works exhibition first opened on Monday, 23rd October, 2017, in the Crypt of Rochester Cathedral. An official opening was held in November.
Originally scheduled to run until June 2018, the exhibition proved so popular that it was extended twice, eventually closing in the Crypt on Sunday, 2nd December 2018.
The exhibition opened in Medway Archives Centre on Monday, 10th December, 2018, and ran for three months before relocating to Tonbridge Castle. The coronavirus pandemic saw the exhibition put on hold, before a relocation to Maidstone.
On Thursday, 6th August, 2020, the exhibition was opened with covid-19 safety measures in place at Maidstone Museum. This coincided with the 141st anniversary of the opening of Maidstone Bridge. The exhibition ran until November 2021.
