Congratulations to the finalists of the Education Resources Awards 2018

As the bridge builders of tomorrow, children are very important to the Rochester Bridge Trust, and so it is with great pleasure that we are supporting the Education Resources Awards for the third year running.

While all ages need encouraging and supporting, we believe reaching out to primary-aged children is of the utmost importance, because by catching their interest young, the children can learn to resist the potential damage of gender stereotyping. For us the priority is encouraging children to take an interest in engineering, but we salute the efforts of anyone who looks to positively influence primary-aged children, which is why the Trust is sponsoring the Primary Resource or Equipment category.

Bridge Clerk Sue Threader explained: “As a provider of primary education resources in the form of our free book Learning about Bridges, and a host of online resources, events and support to educators, we at the Trust appreciate the effort that goes into inspiring younger children – and the benefit of taking the time to engage with those youngsters.

“We congratulate all the finalists on being shortlisted, and look forward to finding out who the winners are.”

The winners of the Education Resources Awards 2018 will be announced at a presentation evening on 16th March. See the list of finalists here.
