It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Having served the country for 70 years, The Queen was loved and respected for her sense of duty and devotion to public service.
Out of respect, the Rochester Bridge Trust is joining the national period of mourning, and will halt all public activities.
The Bridge Chapel and Chamber, which were due to open for Heritage Open Days and the launch of the new exhibition, will now remain closed for the period of mourning.
The Old Bridge’s enhancement lighting will remain dark, with only the necessary safety lighting in use.
