Road users are advised there will be temporary overnight single lane restrictions on Rochester’s Old Bridge for six weeks, from Monday, 9 June.
Single lane traffic management is scheduled to run from approximately 9pm until 5am, to minimise disruption to road-users.
The works are to carry out painting on the upper portion of the bowstring-shaped trusses on the Old Bridge.
Bridge maintenance is carried out at Net Zero Carbon, using a variety of carbon-friendly working practices. Electricity is provided from 100% renewable sources, and waste materials are re-used or recycled wherever it is possible to do so.
The works will be carried out by FM Conway, on behalf of the Rochester Bridge Trust.
