Road users are advised there will be temporary single lane restrictions on Rochester Bridge for six nights from Monday to Friday, 25-29 September, and including Wednesday, 4 October, to enable essential works to take place. Please note, the final night of works is a change to the previously advertised date.
Single lane traffic management is scheduled to run from approximately 9pm until 5am, to minimise disruption to road-users.
The works are to carry out routine maintenance including cleaning the Old Bridge, Service Bridge and New Bridge, and white line repainting on the New Bridge.
Routine maintenance is carried out at Net Zero Carbon, using a variety of carbon-friendly working practices. Electricity is provided from 100% renewable sources, and waste materials are re-used or recycled wherever it is possible to do so.
The works will be carried out by FM Conway, on behalf of the Rochester Bridge Trust. They are due to be completed on the night of Monday, 2 October. There will be no overnight works during the weekend.
