As a responsible engineer, Langdon the Lion is well aware of the importance of Health & Safety in the workplace.
He always follows all safety rules when working on site and makes sure to wear site appropriate attire of well-fitting PPE that is tailored to his feline form.
So, he was delighted recently to come across a product that will help protect him further. A very simple concept, it has potentially life-saving implications.
The Worker Emergency ID is a compact form, stored inside a waterproof adhesive sachet that is attached to the side of someone’s hard hat.
Beforehand, wearers fill in their personal details, two emergency contacts – one of Langdon’s was his colleague Leonie – as well as any key medical facts. It is designed to give first responders and paramedics potentially vital information in the event of someone having an accident.
In Langdon’s case, he listed his allergy to penicillin as well as the medicines he’s been prescribed. He also mentioned that he is gluten intolerant. Being a lion, this is not usually an issue as his diet is predominantly meat-based. But if he did end up on a hospital ward, he wouldn’t want anyone trying to feed him toast for breakfast.
