Maintenance activities do not necessarily mean large tasks and road closures. As with in the home, the required activity can often be small scale.
To facilitate such activities, a 2kw portable, rechargeable power pack has been purchased, to enable small tools to be used all over the bridges. This cancels out the need for diesel generators for many activities, and as the power pack will be recharged by the bridges’ 100% renewable electricity supply, the carbon output of any tools used is zero.
