Parking charges are to be temporarily suspended at the three Medway Council-owned car parks in Strood, courtesy of the Rochester Bridge Trust.
Fees at Commercial Road Car Park, Grove Road Car Park and Temple Street Car Park will be covered by the Trust from 6pm on Friday, 31st July, until close on Sunday, 2nd August 2020.
A spokesperson said: “We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the New Bridge this weekend. To try to ease the disruption, we will be covering the cost of this weekend’s parking in Strood’s three council-owned car parks.”
The New Bridge takes road traffic from Strood to Rochester. Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained during this closure.
