Commitment to work and colleagues is being celebrated in a new Employee of the Month award scheme launched as part of the Rochester Bridge Refurbishment Project.
The award was introduced as a way of recognising the exceptional efforts of the team as they keep the refurbishment project going in spite of the additional challenges posed in the vital task of stopping the spread of coronavirus.
Jim Booth, Service Manager at the Rochester Bridge Trust, explained: “Everyone involved in the Rochester Bridge Refurbishment Project has been doing an exceptional job, in general and in terms of adapting to the new ways of working required to keep us safe during the coronavirus pandemic.
“This award is a way of recognising the efforts being made during this difficult time, and has been so well received that it will continue for the rest of the project.”
Potential award winners – who can be from any contractor working on the refurbishment – are nominated by colleagues, with all entries reviewed by a panel from the Rochester Bridge Trust and FM Conway’s management team.
Project Supervisor Adam Brown, from FM Conway, is the first person to be recognised. Nominations for him included comments about his commitment to high standards, time-keeping, going the extra mile, helping others, and more. He received a £50 Amazon voucher as a thank you for his dedication.
