Access limitations during Rochester events

Members of the public are advised there will be occasional limited access on and around the Castle area of Rochester Esplanade from Friday, 19th July, until Sunday, 21st July.

Starting on the evening of Friday, 19th July, there will be short-term restricted access to an area of Rochester Esplanade while the community Medway Mile event takes place.

The following day, pedestrians are advised to be aware the temporary crossing near the end of Rochester Esplanade is to be suspended for 24 hours, from 8pm on Saturday, 20th July.

This is to support the National Circuit Championships, which will be taking place on Sunday, 21st July. The course for the event passes down Castle Hill and along Rochester Esplanade.

Subject to cycle event activities, pedestrians will still be able to access Rochester Esplanade but are asked to take extra care when crossing the road.
